Sarah Acker
Owner and Pet Stylist
Sarah has been a certified pet stylist since 2008, beginning her career at a veterinarian office. In 2011, she opened Spaw. She strives to understand every pet and form a special bond and relationship with them. Her aim is to provide individual attention to each dog to maintain their health and well-being, while also teaching them to become accustomed to the grooming process. As well as being a pet stylist and proprietor of Spaw, she holds certifications in Animal Reiki, Canine Esthetician, Fear Free Professional, and Holistic Pet Groomer. Sarah owns two dogs: a Standard Poodle named Abba, and a Labrador Retriever named Tyrus, who is her service dog.
SAbrina Setterington
Co-Owner and Pet Stylist’s Assistant
Sabrina began her career in animal care during her teenage years at Spaw, where she acquired valuable experience under the mentorship of her mother, Sarah. Over the course of her career, Sabrina has accumulated extensive experience across multiple animal care facilities, including boarding establishments and veterinary clinics. These diverse roles have furnished her with a comprehensive skill set, enabling her to address clients' inquiries and concerns with empathy and professionalism. Her unwavering dedication ensures that both pets and their owners feel at ease, fostering a trusting and comfortable environment.Sabrina is certified as a groomer, pet CPR and first aid provider, and canine esthetician. Additionally, she owns a German Shepherd mix named Katti.
Abaddon "abba"
Receptionist
Abba has been an integral member of Spaw since his early days as a puppy. He plays a crucial role in welcoming clients and their pets, ensuring they feel comfortable upon arrival. He interacts with other dogs during playtime and enjoys receiving affection. He appreciates the attention and treats offered by our clients. Abba passed away in October 2025 but was loved and will be missed by many. His spirt and energy still remains in our hearts and the shop.
